The Canberra Rape Crisis Centre is pleased to announce the annual Gala Fundraising Lunch for 2012- Please distribute through your networks.
We are very excited to be launching our Nguru Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program information resources for adults and children and their supporters who have been affected by sexual assault. Proceeds raised will be directed into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community who have been affected by sexual violence.
Guest speakers include Roslyn Brown from the United Ngunnawal Elders Council and Lydia George Director of the ACT Torres Strait Islander Corporation with Special Advisor for Indigenous Engagement for the Australian Government, Kerrie Tim, as MC for the fundraising event.
Tickets are being sold at $50 per person or $450 for a table of 10

Sexual abuse is a real issue that needs to be brought front and center. It happens everywhere, everyday, usually going unseen, and unheard. What a wonderful fundraiser. We need to raise money and our voices for survivors.
