I pictured every race abusing my people, but I never pictured our own abusing our own.

When I sat in my Indigenous Studies class, I saw charts, heard stories, read the numbers and reports on the effects of Residential School. I saw the circle-graph explaining the breakdown of family. I saw the statistics of substance abuse, I read the reports of sexual, and physical abuse.

I began to think of the perpetrators. Obviously I pictured nuns and the white man doing the abuse.
