Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day

27 07 2012

The Queensland Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICP) is celebrating National Aboriginal & Islander Children’s Day on 4 August from 10am to 2pm at Roma Street Parklands!

This day is all about celebrating Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children. The theme for the day is Our children, our culture, our way. A wide range of activities for kids to participate in will be available, ranging from art, sport, dancing and general children’s games.

QATSICP are seeking support and assistance from organisations. They require volunteers to help out on the day, monetary donations to go towards a healthy lunch or fun activities, or a donation of goods (such as books, bags, prizes and giveaways that are kid-friendly!). Any support offered would be greatly, greatly appreciated!

Please also spread the word with your networks, your family and friends and your community. We would love to see as many children there as possible!

For more information or to offer your support, please email Laraine Griffiths laraineg@qatsihsc.org.au or phone (07) 3362 9648.
